Aries of Mexico Tournament size 1.75" Backgammon Board
 
This is a VERY rare vintage Aries Board.  The leather print is an elephant pattern (although the interior is stamped bovine)  the exterior pattern is one I have never seen before.  Aries used unique latches and handles on some of their high end sets and it appears this falls into that category.  
 
The playing surface is in excellent condtion and the exterior only has minor sings of it's age.
 
The handle is missing and there is a chip in lengthy crack in one checker.  You will not find this board again anywhere.   A wonderful example of vintage Aries craftsmanship.
